Connecting LCAP goals and action to the work of the African American Parent Advisory Council (AAPAC) ensures a goal-based focus and specific results.Rather than conducting random acts of engagement, this connection provides the structure necessary to join the LCAP and the AAPAC together to make progress in the achievement of the goals of the district, the school and the AAPAC. This workshop will show how to use LCAP information to determine an AAPAC’s focus, how to create a family engagement program that supports a LCAP goal or goals and will provide examples of schools and districts that have used this connection for the success of all students.
